What is it?
TIG torches are precision welding tools used in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG). They hold a non-consumable tungsten electrode and deliver shielding gas to protect the weld pool.
Applications & Usage
Used for high-quality welding of stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and other specialty metals. Ideal for aerospace, food processing equipment, and precision fabrication.
How it Works
An arc is struck between the tungsten electrode and workpiece. Argon or helium shielding gas protects the molten weld pool from atmospheric contamination. Filler metal is added separately.
Why it Matters
TIG welding produces the highest quality welds with excellent appearance. The torch design affects arc stability, gas coverage, and operator fatigue during extended use.
